Napoleon Elevation™ X Electric Series

There’s a reason people buy a traditional fireplace over a linear one — the deep firebox, the stacked logs, the way the fire builds from the back and works its way forward. The Napoleon Elevation X Electric captures that specific experience and delivers it without a gas line, without a chimney, and without committing to a fuel type before your build is even framed.

That last point matters more than it might seem. The Elevation X Electric shares the exact same rough framing dimensions as Napoleon’s Elevation X gas fireplaces. Builders and contractors working on new construction in Petoskey, Cheboygan, or Gaylord can frame the opening now and let the homeowner decide later whether to go gas or electric. It’s the kind of flexibility that’s rare in the fireplace category, and it removes one of the most common friction points in new home decisions.

The flames themselves are what set this unit apart from other electrics in a traditional format. Advanced LCD technology displays high-definition gas and wood flame videos on a rear panel, then layers them with multi-dimensional projection to create genuine depth — flames that grow from back to front and from the sides toward the center, the way a real fire actually moves. The hand-painted Split Oak log set sits in front of that display and glows with the ember bed, reinforcing the illusion from the front of the firebox. Built-in speakers add crackling sound matched to the flame pattern. The result is a traditional fireplace aesthetic that holds up under close inspection.

Two flame patterns are available: a gas-style flame displayed against Napoleon’s MIRRO-FLAME reflective panels, and a wood-burning flame set against a decorative herringbone panel. The MIRRO-FLAME option can also run with no flame at all — just the logs and glowing ember bed — for ambient light without any heat or visual distraction. Five ember bed colors and five flame speed and brightness settings give you real control over the mood, and 13 top light color options expand further through the Napoleon Home App.

Heating output reaches up to 10,000 BTUs on a 240V hardwired connection, warming spaces up to 800 square feet. ECO mode runs at half output to conserve energy during mild weather — a practical setting for northern Michigan shoulder seasons where you want some warmth without running the heat hard. BOOST mode maximizes output when the temperature drops. A 7-day preset scheduler lets you program the fireplace around your routine, and the unit can run flames without heat year-round.

Control comes through the included premium remote, the Napoleon Home App, voice commands via Google Home or Alexa, or an optional wall-mounted controller. The included finishing flange provides a clean, adjustable installation with a professional finish, and an optional one-piece trim kit accommodates different wall material thicknesses. Available in 36 and 42 inch sizes.

If you’re building, renovating, or simply want a traditional-format fireplace without the fuel infrastructure, the Elevation X Electric is worth a close look. The Fireside Hearth & Leisure team can walk you through sizing and installation options at any of our northern Michigan locations.
