Napoleon Elevation™ Series Electric Fireplaces
Not every home up north has an existing gas line or the infrastructure for a wood-burning fireplace. The Napoleon Elevation Series offers an electric alternative that doesn’t ask you to sacrifice the look of a real fire to get there. Built around a deep, traditional firebox format, the Elevation Electric delivers a flame that moves, layers, and glows the way a wood fire actually does — without venting, fuel lines, or the annual maintenance that comes with them.
The technology behind it is Napoleon’s patent-pending triple-layer flame projection. Rather than projecting a flat image onto a single surface, the system builds flames across multiple layers, growing from the back of the firebox forward and from the sides toward the center. It’s the same organic movement pattern a real fire follows, and it’s what separates this unit from conventional electric fireplaces that read as flat the moment you look closely. The premium Split Oak log set sits in the firebox with authentic depth and glow, reinforcing the effect from front to back.
Orange and yellow flame colors can be adjusted across five speed and brightness settings, giving you a range from a low, slow-burning ember feel to an active, high-flame look. Thirteen top light color options let you tune the ambient light above the firebox to match the room or the mood, with unlimited combinations available through the Napoleon Home App.
For builders and contractors working on new construction across northern Michigan, the Elevation Electric has a feature worth paying attention to: it shares the exact same framing dimensions as Napoleon’s Elevation and Elevation X gas fireplaces. Frame the opening now, and the homeowner can decide later whether to finish with gas or electric. It’s a practical hedge against changing budgets, regulations, or preferences — and it doesn’t cost anything extra to plan for.
Heating is handled through ECO and BOOST modes. ECO mode runs at half output, a useful setting during the shoulder seasons when you want ambient warmth without the energy draw. BOOST mode pushes to full output, delivering up to 10,000 BTUs on a 240V hardwired connection and reaching spaces up to 800 square feet. The flames can also run without heat at any time of year — useful in lake homes and cabins that see use across all four seasons.
Control options include the included premium remote, the Napoleon Home App with 7-day scheduling, Google Home and Amazon Alexa voice control, a touch panel on the unit, and an optional wall-mounted controller. No venting required; the unit hardwires to 120V or 240V. Available in 36 and 42 inch sizes with a five-year warranty.
The Fireside Hearth & Leisure team can help you determine fit and installation requirements for any project, from a cabin in Cheboygan to a new build outside Gaylord. Stop in to see the Elevation burning in person.
