Drop it open and you have full, easy access to the media bed — swap out the included Driftwood logs and Woodland kit, add crystals, change it up for the holidays, or bring in your own seasonal decor. Optional media kits including Birch Logs, Mineral Rock, Glass Beads, and Black Crystals are available if you want to take the look further. Ember bed and top lighting offer 13 standard color options at three brightness levels, and the Napoleon Home App opens up the full RGB spectrum for unlimited combinations. Adjust flame speed, brightness, and color from your phone, or use the included remote, the touch control panel, or the optional wall-mounted remote. Google Home and Amazon Alexa voice control are also built in — useful when your hands are full or you just don’t feel like getting up.

Heating is handled through ECO and BOOST modes, giving you real control over energy use. ECO mode runs at half output to take the edge off a cool evening without running up the electric bill — a practical feature for northern Michigan shoulder seasons when you want some heat but not a lot. BOOST mode kicks the blower up to maximum output for serious warmth, delivering up to 10,000 BTUs and reaching spaces up to 800 square feet on a 240V hardwired connection.

No venting required. The Astound installs as a fully recessed built-in with two finish options: the included frameless finishing flange for a clean, modern look, or the adjustable one-piece trim that accommodates varying wall material thicknesses. Both options come in the box. Available in four widths — 50, 62, 74, and 96 inches — there’s a size that fits the wall you have in mind. The five-year warranty backs the investment.
